4 Days in Kyoto, Japan

We thought our trip to Bali would have been the last excursion while we were in Korea, but after a few discussions we decided to do one more. We didn't want to regret being so close to Japan (only a 90 minute flight) and not visiting. We chose to forego Tokyo, another busy Asian city and decided on Kyoto, a more historical site. We packed a lot into four short days, but I am so glad we visited this area. Japan is beautiful, very clean and the people are unbelievably helpful.

Japan is known for their Shinkansen or "bullet trains" (behind me). They have a great public transportation system.

Lilly loved carrying her backpack and suitcase.... most of the time.

Zach is 11 Months!

This is an overdue post, but the picture was taken right at 11 months. Zach is no longer wanting to be fed with a spoon and frequently shakes his head "no" if we try, so these days he is mostly eating what we eat cut up for him to grab. He says "mama" more frequently now and has learned how to blow kisses. He giggles and laughs a lot and loves to cuddle when being held. Can't believe our baby is almost ONE!

Spending some time in the sun!

We had great spring weather the beginning of March and went to the park near us to rent bikes. It was so busy! Zach's first time being on the back of a bike and he loved it!

Sibling Love

Lilly and Zach already seem to have a love/hate relationship. Lilly hates when Zach gets into her things and Zach loves to watch her scream and cry over it. Most days they play well and get into mischief together.

Laundry basket fun

Crawling under chairs

Not being able to figure out how to crawl out from under the chair.

The days of getting ready in peace are long gone. These two monkeys follow me everywhere and find the tub is a nice place to play with or without water.

Going down the slide together

The things that Lilly outgrew, like playing in cabinets, are fun again thanks to Zach!
