First Birthday

It's still very hard to believe we have a one year old, but it's true she is growing up! Lilly is now a little over 30 inches and 21 pounds. She has started to take a few steps on her own but still not confident to be walking fully by herself. She has become a chatter bug and loves to be the center of attention.
We celebrated her birthday at our home with Grandpa Baca, cousin Madison, Grandma and Grandpa Hund and friends Janice and Aleah. What started as me not really "throwing" a party turned into days spent making decorations, ordering balloons, flowers and searching three different stores for ingredients to make a unique healthy three layer cake. Needless to say I made way to much food, the cake was good enough for Lilly to eat and the decorations didn't get as much attention as the amount of stress I put toward preparing! It was a great day though and we really enjoyed sharing it with everyone!

"This song lasts forever.. I'm ready for a nap!"

Of course we had to have a tutu for the high chair!

Future politician.. after a few bites she had to stop and wave to her audience

Bows are much more fun than presents!

"They won't recognize me with these on!"

Trying out the stool Grandpa Hund made

Lilly loves her riding Choo-Choo... probably because there isn't an on/off switch and it "choos" all through the night!
